A Historic First for ADR Education
In July 2025, the Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution took a significant step forward by launching the OADR Learning Management System (OADR-LMS) — the first dedicated online platform for ADR training in the Philippines. For the first time, learners across the country could access a structured, accredited course on Alternative Dispute Resolution entirely online, at their own pace, without leaving their homes or offices.
It represented a deliberate shift in how the office approached education: away from venue-dependent, calendar-constrained training, and toward something more flexible and inclusive.

What the OADR-LMS Delivered
The Fundamental Course on ADR was designed to be more than a passive reading experience. The platform brought together multiple learning modalities to ensure that participants came away with both theoretical grounding and practical understanding of ADR in Philippine and global contexts:
Self-Paced, Asynchronous Learning
Participants completed the course on their own schedule. There were no fixed class hours — learners logged in, progressed, and finished at a pace that worked for them.
Video Lectures
Engaging video content walked learners through essential ADR principles and processes, covering both Philippine frameworks and international practices.
Interactive Activities & Assessments
Learners were not just passive recipients. Quizzes, activities, and evaluations woven throughout the course tested comprehension and reinforced key ADR concepts.
Diverse Learner Participation
Those who completed Batch 1 came from various sectors and backgrounds — reflecting OADR's intent to make ADR education broadly accessible, not limited to legal practitioners.
How Batch 1 Began
On July 14, 2025, the Training and Program Development Division (TPDD) of OADR hosted a live Zoom orientation to walk Batch 1 participants through the platform. The session covered key features, navigation tools, and the course implementing guidelines under Administrative Order No. 2025-011 — giving learners the confidence to explore the system independently from day one.
The course window ran from July 14 to 29, 2025. By the close of the batch, 91 learners had successfully completed the program — a strong showing for what was, at the time, an entirely new mode of ADR training delivery.

What 2025 Proved
The 2025 launch of the OADR-LMS was more than a technical rollout — it was a demonstration that ADR education could scale. Learners who might never have attended an in-person training were able to engage with the material on their own terms, from wherever they were, without compromising on the depth or structure of the course.
For OADR's Training and Program Development Division, the first year of online delivery offered valuable insight into how participants engage with digital learning, and what it takes to support a growing community of ADR-informed professionals across the country. That learning now shapes how the program continues to evolve.
